The luxurious duplex apartment Alex is spread over the top two floors of Chalet Shalimar in Zermatt.
Sleeping 12 people in six spacious twin/double bedrooms, this apartment is perfect for large groups of friends or families.
For advanced skiers, it makes the perfect spot as, when snow permits, you can ski back to the apartment (off piste).
You enter the apartment on the first floor which is the main sleeping floor. On this floor there are six twin/double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and balconies. The two master bedrooms have uninterrupted views of the iconic Matterhorn. Bright and spacious, all of the furnishings are of the highest quality and all the bathrooms have separate baths and power showers.
A lift takes you up to the living and dining areas which are wonderfully spacious and bright.
The main living areas have sumptuous sofas which surround the large stone fireplaces.
After a hard day on the slopes, guests can enjoy afternoon tea in peace and quiet while the children are kept entertained in the apartment’s entertainment rooms complete with Apple TV. There is also a guest toilet on this floor.
On the lower ground floor of Chalet Shalimar is the shared spa area. There is a fabulous indoor pool, sauna, hammam, and massage room which is shared with the other four-bedroom apartment, Elena, situated on the ground floor.
Alex is nestled in the enclave of Winklematten, perfectly positioned for keen advanced skiers as you can ski back to the property (when snow permits). The Klein Matterhorn lift station is a short e-taxi ride away or a 10 minute walk. The vibrant centre of Zermatt is a 15-minute scenic walk away or a short ride in an electric taxi.
