Chalet Grinchon
Description
A chic and beautifully appointed five-bedroom chalet nestled in a quiet, exclusive enclave of Crans-Montana, surrounded by greenery and unspoilt nature. With only the gentle sound of an alpine stream nearby, this is a peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxing, unwinding, and spending quality time with family.
The chalet sits at the end of a tranquil cul-de-sac and features a rare flat, grassed garden fully enclosed by privacy hedges and fencing. This combination is highly unusual in Crans-Montana and offers exceptional privacy and a safe, carefree environment for children.
We purchased this home and thoughtfully enhanced it with families in mind. The large, fully fenced garden allows children to play freely and safely, whether kicking a ball, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying the charming wooden playhouse. For warmer days, we recommend bringing an inflatable paddling pool to enjoy on the lawn.
The chalet is perfectly positioned to capture the afternoon sun, making it ideal for barbecues, relaxing outdoors, and soaking up the surrounding natural beauty.
Located just a five-minute drive from the Violettes ski lift and approximately eight minutes from the centre of Crans, the chalet offers easy access to skiing, hiking, and local amenities. There are also many delightful, lesser-known local restaurants, which I’m happy to recommend once you book.
Inside, the chalet offers generous accommodation with five bedrooms, each featuring its own adjoining bathroom. In true Swiss chalet style, the bedrooms are cosy, but this is rarely an issue as most time is spent outdoors, in the upstairs living area, or on the balcony. The bathroom next to the bunk room includes a bathtub, ideal for children. A large technical and storage room provides ample space to store skis, hiking gear, and outdoor equipment safely.
Guests can enjoy fast, free Wi-Fi, Netflix, and a washer-dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay, including plenty of wine glasses. Enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony while watching the sun set after a day of skiing or hiking is a truly special experience.
A car is required to access the chalet. During winter months, a 4WD vehicle is essential, as the access road is steep and snow-covered. The property includes two uncovered parking spaces; additional vehicles may need to park further up the road.
Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome. Guests have full access to the entire chalet and garden. A small number of cabinets are locked for owner use only.
