At the heart of the lodge is a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, designed for relaxed evenings together after a day in the mountains. Chic French interiors give the property a sophisticated yet welcoming feel, while large windows and an expansive sun terrace make the most of the spectacular surrounding mountain and forest views.
The lodge offers four comfortable bedrooms, including a beautiful master suite with an open-plan bathroom, a double/twin en-suite bedroom, a further double/twin room and a bunk room with full-size beds suitable for adults. There are four bath or shower rooms in total, providing plenty of space and privacy for a group of eight.
After skiing, hiking or exploring Chamonix, guests can unwind in the lodge’s private infrared sauna, or make use of the small gym and shower. Thoughtful ski-focused touches include a private ski locker and heated boot warmers, ensuring everything is ready for the following morning.
Outside, the large sun terrace is a standout feature, offering panoramic Alpine views and an outdoor dining area – perfect for long lunches in the sunshine or an après-ski drink surrounded by the mountains.
The location is equally impressive. Kandahar Lodge 1 sits beside the Montenvers train station in central Chamonix, with the Brévent ski area around a two-minute drive or 10–15 minute walk away. Les Grands Montets, Le Tour and Les Houches are also easily accessible by car.
